This artwork by Ding Guanpeng achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in October 2003. In the FINE CLASSICAL CHINESE PAINTINGS AND CALLIGRAPHY auction, the work Street Hawker sold for HKD 65,725.00 (€ 7,286.42) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 35,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ding Guanpeng achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Eminent Monks Preaching in March 2017 with an auction result of USD 312,500.00 (€ 292,110.67).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 88 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Ding Guanpeng erzielte im Oktober 2003 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion FINE CLASSICAL CHINESE PAINTINGS AND CALLIGRAPHY wurde die Arbeit Street Hawker für HKD 65.725,00 (€ 7.286,42) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 35.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ding Guanpeng erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Eminent Monks Preaching im März 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 312.500,00 (€ 292.110,67).
