Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Ding Guanpeng could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in March 2018 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Fine Classical Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy auction, the work Arhats changed hands for USD 18,750.00 (€ 15,219.16) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 24,000.00 – 32,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ding Guanpeng achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Eminent Monks Preaching in March 2017 with an auction result of USD 312,500.00 (€ 292,110.67).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Ding Guanpeng konnte im März 2018 bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy wechselte die Arbeit Arhats für USD 18.750,00 (€ 15.219,16) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 24.000,00 – 32.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ding Guanpeng erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Eminent Monks Preaching im März 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 312.500,00 (€ 292.110,67).
