This work of art by Dines Carlsen could be acquired at Christies in New York in March 2003 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Fine American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture auction, the work Black and Brass changed hands for USD 59.75 (€ 54.82) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Dines Carlsen achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Mrs. Carlsen In The Lilac Garden in June 2001 with an auction result of USD 7,050.00 (€ 8,319.57).
