This artwork by Diego Giacometti achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in October this year. In the La Collection Sam Josefowitz: Vente du Soir auction, the work Table 'aux caryatides' sold for EUR 1,008,000.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 550,000.00. Admittedly, works by Diego Giacometti have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work La console 'Hommage à Böcklin' in October this year with an auction result of GBP 5,122,000.00 (€ 5,881,478.99).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Diego Giacometti erzielte im Oktober diesen Jahres bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion La Collection Sam Josefowitz: Vente du Soir wurde die Arbeit Table 'aux caryatides' für EUR 1.008.000,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 550.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Diego Giacometti auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit La console 'Hommage à Böcklin' im Oktober diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 5.122.000,00 (€ 5.881.478,99).
