Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Morning Sunshine in Kew together with a further pastel on paper, On the Terrace, L'Auberge de la Gloriette, by the same hand by Diana Armfield was auctioned at Bonhams in London in September 2020. It changed hands for a price of GBP 1,402.50 (€ 1,546.48) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Diana Armfield - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Roses From the Front Wall, Llwynhir, which sold at auction in July 2019 for GBP 3,562.00 (€ 3,910.84).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Morning Sunshine in Kew together with a further pastel on paper, On the Terrace, L'Auberge de la Gloriette, by the same hand von Diana Armfield kam im September 2020 bei Bonhams in London zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 1.402,50 (€ 1.546,48) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Diana Armfield mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Roses From the Front Wall, Llwynhir beobachtet, die im Juli 2019 für GBP 3.562,00 (€ 3.910,84) versteigert wurde.
