Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Spring flowers in January on the slate window sil by Diana Armfield was auctioned at Christies in London in December 2008. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 812.50 (€ 853.36) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Diana Armfield have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Roses From the Front Wall, Llwynhir in July 2019 with an auction result of GBP 3,562.00 (€ 3,910.84).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Spring flowers in January on the slate window sil von Diana Armfield kam im Dezember 2008 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 812,50 (€ 853,36) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Diana Armfield auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Roses From the Front Wall, Llwynhir im Juli 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 3.562,00 (€ 3.910,84).
