In the South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art Online auction, the work Morning Mist sold for USD 11,970.00 (€ 10,790.59) - well above the upper estimate of USD 5,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Devi Prasad Roy Chowdhury - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work An Inmate of the Harem, which sold at auction in October 2021 for GBP 20,250.00 (€ 23,990.78).
