Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Women resting on the heath by Désiré Thomassin was auctioned at Christies in Amsterdam in January 2005. The price achieved of EUR 840.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 700.00 – 900.00. Admittedly, works by Désiré Thomassin have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A beachscene with fisherfolk sorting the catch in October 2001 with an auction result of EUR 8,225.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Women resting on the heath von Désiré Thomassin kam im Januar 2005 bei Christies in Amsterdam zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 840,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 700,00 – 900,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Désiré Thomassin auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A beachscene with fisherfolk sorting the catch im Oktober 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 8.225,00.
