This artwork by Désiré Donny achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Amsterdam in March 2002. In the PICTURES, WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS auction, the work Bomschuiten on the beach of Scheveningen sold for EUR 4,935.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 2,200.00. Admittedly, works by Désiré Donny have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Harbour at night in May 2016 with an auction result of EUR 25,000.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Désiré Donny erzielte im März 2002 bei Christies in Amsterdam einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion PICTURES, WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS wurde die Arbeit Bomschuiten on the beach of Scheveningen für EUR 4.935,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 2.200,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Désiré Donny auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Harbour at night im Mai 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 25.000,00.
