In November 2013 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Old Masters& 19th Century Art - including Dutch Impressionism., which included the work A Coastal Scene With Fisherfolk And Bomschuiten by Désiré Donny. The auction ended at the price of EUR 3,500.00, which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of EUR 2,500.00 – 3,500.00. Admittedly, works by Désiré Donny have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Harbour at night in May 2016 with an auction result of EUR 25,000.00.
