In March 2009 Christies in London held the auction 20th Century British Art including The Olga Davenport Collection, which included the work Girl and Butterfly by Derrick Greaves. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 1,625.00 (€ 1,752.32), 63% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Derrick Greaves achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Labourers with dog in February 2007 with an auction result of GBP 18,000.00 (€ 26,684.35).

Im März 2009 führte Christies in London die Auktion 20th Century British Art including The Olga Davenport Collection durch, in der auch die Arbeit Girl and Butterfly von Derrick Greaves zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 1.625,00 (€ 1.752,32) und damit 63% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Derrick Greaves erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Labourers with dog im Februar 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 18.000,00 (€ 26.684,35).
