Auction result well in line with expectations

The price achieved of GBP 6,875.00 (€ 8,233.78) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Derrick Greaves - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Labourers with dog, which sold at auction in February 2007 for GBP 18,000.00 (€ 26,684.35).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 6.875,00 (€ 8.233,78) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 6.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Derrick Greaves mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Labourers with dog beobachtet, die im Februar 2007 für GBP 18.000,00 (€ 26.684,35) versteigert wurde.
