Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2015 Christies in London held the auction Modern British and Irish Art, which included the work Daffodils in a Vase by Derrick Greaves. The price achieved of GBP 4,375.00 (€ 6,048.67) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Admittedly, works by Derrick Greaves have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Labourers with dog in February 2007 with an auction result of GBP 18,000.00 (€ 26,684.35).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2015 führte Christies in London die Auktion Modern British and Irish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Daffodils in a Vase von Derrick Greaves zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 4.375,00 (€ 6.048,67) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Derrick Greaves auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Labourers with dog im Februar 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 18.000,00 (€ 26.684,35).
