In the The Irish Sale auction, the work Autumn towards Letterkenny from Manor Cunningham sold for GBP 3,750.00 (€ 4,770.16) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 2,000.00. Admittedly, works by Derek Hill have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Professor R.B. Mc Dowell leaving the Rubrics, Trinity College, Dublin in May 2001 with an auction result of GBP 23,500.00 (€ 39,398.29).
