Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Violet Hills signed 'sheehan' (lower right), titled and inscribed (on the reverse) 16 x 20 in. by Dennis Sheehan was sold in the Studio Art auction at Bonhams in Skinner Marlborough, Massachusetts in December last year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 700.00 – 900.00, the actual price achieved of USD 701.25 (€ 655.50) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Dennis Sheehan - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Painter's Moon, which sold at auction in May this year for USD 1,792.00 (€ 1,682.00).

Die Arbeit Violet Hills signed 'sheehan' (lower right), titled and inscribed (on the reverse) 16 x 20 in. von Dennis Sheehan wurde im Dezember letzten Jahres in der Auktion Studio Art bei Bonhams in Skinner Marlborough, Massachusetts versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 700,00 – 900,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 701,25 (€ 655,50) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
