The work Abstract Composition by Dennis Eugene Norman Burton was sold in the Important Canadian Art auction at Sothebys in Toronto in November 2010. The »bidding war« ended at CAD 18,000.00 (€ 13,448.91), 50% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Dennis Eugene Norman Burton; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Lexicon Ii sold at auction in November 2011 with the realized price of CAD 24,000.00 (€ 17,490.23).

Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von CAD 18.000,00 (€ 13.448,91) und damit 50% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Dennis Eugene Norman Burton; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Lexicon Ii im November 2011 mit dem Hammerpreis von CAD 24.000,00 (€ 17.490,23).
