This work without title by Dennis Eugene Norman Burton was sold in the Important Canadian Art auction at Sothebys in Toronto in November 2012. The »bidding war« ended at CAD 12,000.00 (€ 9,287.32), 71% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Dennis Eugene Norman Burton; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Lexicon Ii sold at auction in November 2011 with the realized price of CAD 24,000.00 (€ 17,490.23).
