Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In June 2010 Sothebys in Toronto held the auction Important Canadian Art, which included the work Fluyten by Dennis Eugene Norman Burton. The »bidding war« ended at CAD 8,400.00 (€ 6,443.35), 20% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Dennis Eugene Norman Burton - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Lexicon Ii, which sold at auction in November 2011 for CAD 24,000.00 (€ 17,490.23).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Juni 2010 führte Sothebys in Toronto die Auktion Important Canadian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Fluyten von Dennis Eugene Norman Burton zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von CAD 8.400,00 (€ 6.443,35) und damit 20% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Dennis Eugene Norman Burton mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Lexicon Ii beobachtet, die im November 2011 für CAD 24.000,00 (€ 17.490,23) versteigert wurde.
