It achieved a price of HKD 100,000.00 (€ 12,213.60), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 67%. Admittedly, works by Deng Sanmu have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Calligraphy Couplet In Lishu in October 2014 with an auction result of HKD 525,000.00 (€ 54,050.28).

Die Arbeit Poem In Running Script Calligraphy von Deng Sanmu kam im November 2015 bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 100.000,00 (€ 12.213,60) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 67%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Deng Sanmu auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Calligraphy Couplet In Lishu im Oktober 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 525.000,00 (€ 54.050,28).
