Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2018 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy, which included the work Couplet Calligraphy in Clerical Script by Deng Sanmu. The price achieved of HKD 25,000.00 (€ 2,731.36) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Deng Sanmu achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Calligraphy Couplet In Lishu in October 2014 with an auction result of HKD 525,000.00 (€ 54,050.28).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2018 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy durch, in der auch die Arbeit Couplet Calligraphy in Clerical Script von Deng Sanmu zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 25.000,00 (€ 2.731,36) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Deng Sanmu erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Calligraphy Couplet In Lishu im Oktober 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 525.000,00 (€ 54.050,28).
