This artwork by Deng Sanmu achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2018. In the Fine Chinese Modern Paintings auction, the work Calligraphy sold for HKD 37,500.00 (€ 4,097.04) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 20,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Deng Sanmu achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Calligraphy Couplet In Lishu in October 2014 with an auction result of HKD 525,000.00 (€ 54,050.28).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 88 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Deng Sanmu erzielte im Mai 2018 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Modern Paintings wurde die Arbeit Calligraphy für HKD 37.500,00 (€ 4.097,04) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 20.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Deng Sanmu erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Calligraphy Couplet In Lishu im Oktober 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 525.000,00 (€ 54.050,28).
