This artwork by Deng Sanmu achieved an unexpectedly high price at China Guardian in Hong Kong in October 2017. In the Classical Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy auction, the work Nineteen-Character Couplet In Cursive Script sold for HKD 165,200.00 (€ 18,182.21) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 80,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Deng Sanmu - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Calligraphy Couplet In Lishu, which sold at auction in October 2014 for HKD 525,000.00 (€ 54,050.28).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Deng Sanmu erzielte im Oktober 2017 bei China Guardian in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Classical Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy wurde die Arbeit Nineteen-Character Couplet In Cursive Script für HKD 165.200,00 (€ 18.182,21) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 80.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Deng Sanmu mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Calligraphy Couplet In Lishu beobachtet, die im Oktober 2014 für HKD 525.000,00 (€ 54.050,28) versteigert wurde.
