Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2014 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Paintings, which included the work Calligraphy In Four Scripts by Deng Sanmu. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 150,000.00 – 250,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 175,000.00 (€ 16,276.14) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Deng Sanmu - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Calligraphy Couplet In Lishu, which sold at auction in October 2014 for HKD 525,000.00 (€ 54,050.28).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2014 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Calligraphy In Four Scripts von Deng Sanmu zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 150.000,00 – 250.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 175.000,00 (€ 16.276,14) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Deng Sanmu mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Calligraphy Couplet In Lishu beobachtet, die im Oktober 2014 für HKD 525.000,00 (€ 54.050,28) versteigert wurde.
