In May this year Christies in Cologne held the auction Fine Chinese Modern and Contemporary Ink Paintings, which included the work Standing Horse by Deng Fen. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 69,300.00 (€ 8,306.37), 39% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Deng Fen achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Encounter By The Lakeside Pavilion in October 2017 with an auction result of HKD 7,060,000.00 (€ 777,036.40).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 39 % übertroffen
Im Mai diesen Jahres führte Christies in Köln die Auktion Fine Chinese Modern and Contemporary Ink Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Standing Horse von Deng Fen zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 69.300,00 (€ 8.306,37) und damit 39% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Deng Fen erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Encounter By The Lakeside Pavilion im Oktober 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 7.060.000,00 (€ 777.036,40).
