The work Bamboo and Plum Blossom / Calligraphy in Running Script by Deng Fen was sold in the Fine Chinese Modern and Contemporary Ink Paintings auction at Christies in Cologne in May this year. It achieved a price of HKD 40,320.00 (€ 4,832.80), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 34%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Deng Fen achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Encounter By The Lakeside Pavilion in October 2017 with an auction result of HKD 7,060,000.00 (€ 777,036.40).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 34 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Bamboo and Plum Blossom / Calligraphy in Running Script von Deng Fen wurde im Mai diesen Jahres in der Auktion Fine Chinese Modern and Contemporary Ink Paintings bei Christies in Köln versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 40.320,00 (€ 4.832,80) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 34%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Deng Fen erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Encounter By The Lakeside Pavilion im Oktober 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 7.060.000,00 (€ 777.036,40).
