In May 2021 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Modern and Contemporary Ink Paintings, which included the work Calligraphy In Seal Script by Deng Erya. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 75,000.00 (€ 7,928.08), 50% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Deng Erya have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Seal Script Calligraphy in May 2011 with an auction result of HKD 560,000.00 (€ 50,094.60).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 50 % übertroffen
Im Mai 2021 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Chinese Modern and Contemporary Ink Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Calligraphy In Seal Script von Deng Erya zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 75.000,00 (€ 7.928,08) und damit 50% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Deng Erya auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Seal Script Calligraphy im Mai 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 560.000,00 (€ 50.094,60).
