Auction result misses estimated price range
In May 2006 a collector was able to acquire the work Mais, Monsieur, Je Suis Une Honnête Femme!... by Demetrius Emmanuel Galanis for GBP 3,840.00 (€ 5,605.15). This price was achieved in the auction The Greek Sale at Sothebys in Olympia and was even below the estimate range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Demetrius Emmanuel Galanis achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Greek Femme En Noir in November 2008 with an auction result of GBP 79,250.00 (€ 95,819.21).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Mai 2006 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Mais, Monsieur, Je Suis Une Honnête Femme!... von Demetrius Emmanuel Galanis für GBP 3.840,00 (€ 5.605,15) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion The Greek Sale bei Sothebys in Olympia erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Demetrius Emmanuel Galanis erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Greek Femme En Noir im November 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 79.250,00 (€ 95.819,21).
