Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2008 Sothebys in London held the auction Russian Paintings, which included the work 'Miro': A Bronze And Ivory Figure by Demétre Chiparus. The price achieved of GBP 46,850.00 (€ 59,219.97) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Demétre Chiparus - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Exotic Dancer Sculpture, Circa 1920, which sold at auction in April 2011 for GBP 193,250.00 (€ 217,632.80).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2008 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Russian Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit 'Miro': A Bronze And Ivory Figure von Demétre Chiparus zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 46.850,00 (€ 59.219,97) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Demétre Chiparus mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Exotic Dancer Sculpture, Circa 1920 beobachtet, die im April 2011 für GBP 193.250,00 (€ 217.632,80) versteigert wurde.
