Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2020 Bonhams in New York held the auction 19th Century European Paintings, which included the work In the reading room by Delphin Enjolras. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 6,075.00 (€ 5,159.67) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Delphin Enjolras achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Odalisque in July 2021 with an auction result of GBP 44,100.00 (€ 51,716.39).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2020 führte Bonhams in New York die Auktion 19th Century European Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit In the reading room von Delphin Enjolras zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 6.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 6.075,00 (€ 5.159,67) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Delphin Enjolras erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Odalisque im Juli 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 44.100,00 (€ 51.716,39).
