Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Delphin Enjolras achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in October 2020. In the European Paintings, Drawings & Sculptures auction, the work A Candlelit Dinner sold for USD 15,120.00 (€ 12,981.88) - well above the upper estimate of USD 7,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Delphin Enjolras - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Odalisque, which sold at auction in July 2021 for GBP 44,100.00 (€ 51,716.39).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Delphin Enjolras erzielte im Oktober 2020 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion European Paintings, Drawings & Sculptures wurde die Arbeit A Candlelit Dinner für USD 15.120,00 (€ 12.981,88) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 7.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Delphin Enjolras mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Odalisque beobachtet, die im Juli 2021 für GBP 44.100,00 (€ 51.716,39) versteigert wurde.
