Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2006 Christies in London held the auction British, Continental and Russian Pictures, which included the work Ready for bed by Deborah Azzopardi. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 1,200.00 – 1,800.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 1,320.00 (€ 1,959.05) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Deborah Azzopardi have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in August 2006 the work Off or on? was auctioned for GBP 1,440.00 (€ 2,141.37).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2006 führte Christies in London die Auktion British, Continental and Russian Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit Ready for bed von Deborah Azzopardi zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 1.200,00 – 1.800,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 1.320,00 (€ 1.959,05) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Deborah Azzopardi konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im August 2006 die Arbeit Off or on? für GBP 1.440,00 (€ 2.141,37) versteigert.
