Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Beach party by Deborah Azzopardi was sold in the British, Continental and Russian Pictures auction at Christies in London in December 2006. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 1,200.00 – 1,800.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 1,320.00 (€ 1,959.05) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Deborah Azzopardi have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in August 2006 the work Off or on? was auctioned for GBP 1,440.00 (€ 2,141.37).
