Auction result misses estimated price range
In December 2008 a collector was able to acquire the work Upland shooting by Dean Wolstenholme, Sen. for USD 1,625.00 (€ 1,167.47). This price was achieved in the auction Sporting and Wildlife Art at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Dean Wolstenholme, Sen. achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Essex Hunt, 1831: The Start of The Hunt At Matching Green; Full Cry From Leading Roothing To High Easter; Gone To Ground At Man Wood With A View of Hatfield Broad Oak Beyond; And The Kill From Dunnon High Wood At Easton Lodge, The Seat of The Rig in May 2006 with an auction result of GBP 30,000.00 (€ 4
Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Essex Hunt, 1831: The Start of The Hunt At Matching Green; Full Cry From Leading Roothing To High Easter; Gone To Ground At Man Wood With A View of Hatfield Broad Oak Beyond; And The Kill From Dunnon High Wood At Easton Lodge, The Seat of The Rig im Mai 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 30.000,00 (€ 43.790,23).
