Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In February 2004 Christies in New York held the auction The House Sale, which included the work The Mail Coach; and The Hull Coach by Dean Wolstenholme, Sen.. Here, the upper estimate of USD 3,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 3,107.00 (€ 2,497.39). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Dean Wolstenholme, Sen. achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Essex Hunt, 1831: The Start of The Hunt At Matching Green; Full Cry From Leading Roothing To High Easter; Gone To Ground At Man Wood With A View of Hatfield Broad Oak Beyond; And The Kill From Dunnon High Wood At Easton Lodge, The Seat of The Rig in May 2006 with an auction result of GBP 30,000.00 (€ 4

Im Februar 2004 führte Christies in New York die Auktion The House Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Mail Coach; and The Hull Coach von Dean Wolstenholme, Sen. zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 3.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 3.107,00 (€ 2.497,39) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Dean Wolstenholme, Sen. erzielen.
