Auction result well in line with expectations
In April last year Bonhams in London held the auction The Marine Sale, which included the work SY Varuna flying the burgee of the New York Yacht Club; and SY Oithona flying the colours of the Royal Victoria Yacht Club 44.5 x 63.5cm (17 1/2 x 25in) and 43.5 x 63cm (17 1/8 x 24 13/16in) respectively. (2) by De Simone. The price achieved of GBP 1,020.00 (€ 1,216.31) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00. Other works by De Simone have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in April 2021 the work The Aux S.Y. Valhalla was auctioned for GBP 1,657.50 (€ 1,906.61).

Im April letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in London die Auktion The Marine Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit SY Varuna flying the burgee of the New York Yacht Club; and SY Oithona flying the colours of the Royal Victoria Yacht Club 44.5 x 63.5cm (17 1/2 x 25in) and 43.5 x 63cm (17 1/8 x 24 13/16in) respectively. (2) von De Simone zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.020,00 (€ 1.216,31) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben worden. Andere Arbeiten von De Simone konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im April 2021 die Arbeit The Aux S.Y. Valhalla für GBP 1.657,50 (€ 1.906,61) versteigert.
