Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work A: Reclining Nude; B: Seated Nude Two Works by David Wu Ject-Key was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2014, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of HKD 80,000.00 – 120,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for HKD 75,000.00 (€ 7,721.47). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by David Wu Ject-Key achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Ladies Under The Pine in April 2016 with an auction result of HKD 750,000.00 (€ 84,498.73).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit A: Reclining Nude; B: Seated Nude Two Works von David Wu Ject-Key im Oktober 2014 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 80.000,00 – 120.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für HKD 75.000,00 (€ 7.721,47) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von David Wu Ject-Key erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Ladies Under The Pine im April 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 750.000,00 (€ 84.498,73).
