Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Fishing Boats Under Full Sail by David West was sold in the Scottish Art auction at Bonhams in Paris in October this year. The price achieved of GBP 960.00 (€ 1,102.35) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00. Admittedly, works by David West have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Covesea Lighthouse, Lossiemouth in May 2003 with an auction result of GBP 3,877.50 (€ 5,402.33).

Die Arbeit Fishing Boats Under Full Sail von David West wurde im Oktober diesen Jahres in der Auktion Scottish Art bei Bonhams in Paris versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 960,00 (€ 1.102,35) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von David West auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Covesea Lighthouse, Lossiemouth im Mai 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 3.877,50 (€ 5.402,33).
