Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by David Vinckboons achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in January 2015. In the Master Paintings: Part I auction, the work Peasant Feast sold for USD 173,000.00 (€ 153,232.95) - well above the upper estimate of USD 80,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by David Vinckboons - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Elegant company in an ornamental garden, which sold at auction in July 2007 for GBP 300,000.00 (€ 445,569.25).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von David Vinckboons erzielte im Januar 2015 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Master Paintings: Part I wurde die Arbeit Peasant Feast für USD 173.000,00 (€ 153.232,95) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 80.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von David Vinckboons mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Elegant company in an ornamental garden beobachtet, die im Juli 2007 für GBP 300.000,00 (€ 445.569,25) versteigert wurde.
