Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Your Time Will Come (Popeye), 2010 (I). by David Spiller was auctioned at Bonhams in March this year. The price achieved of GBP 2,550.00 (€ 2,901.12) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by David Spiller - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Only You (Tom), which sold at auction in September 2019 for GBP 9,437.00 (€ 10,648.54).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 2.550,00 (€ 2.901,12) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von David Spiller mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Only You (Tom) beobachtet, die im September 2019 für GBP 9.437,00 (€ 10.648,54) versteigert wurde.
