Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2000 Christies in New York held the auction Photographs, which included the work Rachel Feinstein by David Seidner. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 4,465.00 (€ 5,261.61) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by David Seidner - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work "YSL", Anh Duong, 1986, which sold at auction in November this year for EUR 20,160.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2000 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Photographs durch, in der auch die Arbeit Rachel Feinstein von David Seidner zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 4.465,00 (€ 5.261,61) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von David Seidner mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit "YSL", Anh Duong, 1986 beobachtet, die im November diesen Jahres für EUR 20.160,00 versteigert wurde.
