Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Entrance to the Temple of Isis, Philae by David Roberts was auctioned at Christies in London in July last year. The price achieved of GBP 37,800.00 (€ 45,139.91) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by David Roberts achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Jerusalem, from the South in June 2016 with an auction result of GBP 962,500.00 (€ 1,155,314.09).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Entrance to the Temple of Isis, Philae von David Roberts kam im Juli letzten Jahres bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 37.800,00 (€ 45.139,91) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von David Roberts erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Jerusalem, from the South im Juni 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 962.500,00 (€ 1.155.314,09).
