Upper estimate price exceeded by 91 %.

This artwork by David Roberts achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in London in September last year. In the Travel & Exploration auction, the work 'Approach of the Simoon_Desert of Gizeh' image 33 x 48.2cm (13 x 19in). sold for GBP 1,530.00 (€ 1,741.29) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 800.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by David Roberts achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Jerusalem, from the South in June 2016 with an auction result of GBP 962,500.00 (€ 1,155,314.09).

Oberer Schätzpreis um 91 % übertroffen

Dieses Kunstwerk von David Roberts erzielte im September letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Travel & Exploration wurde die Arbeit 'Approach of the Simoon_Desert of Gizeh' image 33 x 48.2cm (13 x 19in). für GBP 1.530,00 (€ 1.741,29) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 800,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von David Roberts erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Jerusalem, from the South im Juni 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 962.500,00 (€ 1.155.314,09).
