Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work The Grand Portico at the Temple at Esneh, Egypt by David Roberts was sold in the Old Master and British Works on Paper: Drawings, Watercolours and Prints 1500-1900 auction at Christies in London in July last year. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 30,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 32,760.00 (€ 39,121.26). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by David Roberts achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Jerusalem, from the South in June 2016 with an auction result of GBP 962,500.00 (€ 1,155,314.09).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit The Grand Portico at the Temple at Esneh, Egypt von David Roberts wurde im Juli letzten Jahres in der Auktion Old Master and British Works on Paper: Drawings, Watercolours and Prints 1500-1900 bei Christies in London versteigert.
