Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Design For A Fan: Playing Violin For Baby by David Bles was auctioned at Christies in Amsterdam in September 2004, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 1,792.50. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by David Bles achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work De mooie minne en de Grootpapa's: The beautiful nurse and the grandfathers in March 2001 with an auction result of NLG 188,000.00 (€ 87,073.46).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Design For A Fan: Playing Violin For Baby von David Bles im September 2004 bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 1.792,50 den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von David Bles erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit De mooie minne en de Grootpapa's: The beautiful nurse and the grandfathers im März 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von NLG 188.000,00 (€ 87.073,46).
