Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A collection of twelve drawings, pencil, black and red chalk and brush and brown ink depicting portraits, genre scenes and figure studies, the majority signed with initials, all unframed by David Bles was auctioned at Christies in Amsterdam in January 2001. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of NLG 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of NLG 3,290.00 (€ 1,439.64) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by David Bles achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work De mooie minne en de Grootpapa's: The beautiful nurse and the grandfathers in March 2001 with an auction result of NLG 188,000.00 (€ 87,073.46).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit A collection of twelve drawings, pencil, black and red chalk and brush and brown ink depicting portraits, genre scenes and figure studies, the majority signed with initials, all unframed von David Bles kam im Januar 2001 bei Christies in Amsterdam zur Auktion.
