Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Chair with a Mind of Its Own by David Hockney was auctioned at Christies in New York in November 2019. The price achieved of USD 735,000.00 (€ 667,029.68) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 600,000.00 – 800,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by David Hockney achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Nichols Canyon in December 2020 with an auction result of USD 41,067,500.00 (€ 33,579,313.16).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Chair with a Mind of Its Own von David Hockney kam im November 2019 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion.
