Artwork auctioned at four times the upper estimate price
The work Water Pouring into Swimming Pool, Santa Monica by David Hockney was worth GBP 29,440.00 (€ 34,263.09) to a buyer in June this year. This price was achieved in the auction Prints and Multiples at Bonhams in London and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of GBP 7,000.00 many times over. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by David Hockney achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Nichols Canyon in December 2020 with an auction result of USD 41,067,500.00 (€ 33,579,313.16).
