It changed hands for a price of GBP 5,625.00 (€ 6,343.26) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Admittedly, works by David Goldblatt have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Selected Images of South Africa in October 2017 with an auction result of USD 60,000.00 (€ 51,510.99).

Die Arbeit South African 'Margaret Mcingana, Who Later Became Famous As The Singer Margaret Singana, Zola, Soweto, October 1970' von David Goldblatt kam im Oktober 2018 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 5.625,00 (€ 6.343,26) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00.
