Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Calves in a stable by David Gauld was auctioned at Bonhams in May this year. The price achieved of GBP 2,550.00 (€ 2,966.94) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by David Gauld achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Procession Of St. Agnes in April 2007 with an auction result of USD 66,000.00 (€ 48,316.25).

Die Arbeit Calves in a stable von David Gauld kam im Mai diesen Jahres bei Bonhams zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 2.550,00 (€ 2.966,94) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von David Gauld erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Procession Of St. Agnes im April 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 66.000,00 (€ 48.316,25).
