Auction result misses estimated price range
In October this year a collector was able to acquire the work Calves by the Coast by David Gauld for GBP 1,920.00 (€ 2,204.69). This price was achieved in the auction Scottish Art at Bonhams in Paris and was even below the estimate range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by David Gauld achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Procession Of St. Agnes in April 2007 with an auction result of USD 66,000.00 (€ 48,316.25).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Oktober diesen Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Calves by the Coast von David Gauld für GBP 1.920,00 (€ 2.204,69) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Scottish Art bei Bonhams in Paris erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von David Gauld erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Procession Of St. Agnes im April 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 66.000,00 (€ 48.316,25).
